Out of Retirement

Bacon is back, and it's better than ever! This isn't pretty bacon but it is quite delicious. Perfect for Super Bowl parties, which is where this platter went. mmmmmm

Here's how;

Wrap a piece of bacon around a green olive, secure with toothpick. Broil in oven until done.

If you are like me and don't want to smell bacon for hours and perhaps even days when you go upstairs grill them on the grill outdoors.

Beautiful aren't they?

I'm FIRST!!!!!!!!

Does that mean I get some bacon?

How's Brian here already?! No fair.

What, no super bowl sparkles?

Super Happy Girl said...

Can you just wrap bacon around bacon? Or would that mess up the recipe much?

I love the idea Jean Knee!
I just have one teeny tiny request.
I would like my little bacon roll with extra bacon, hold the olive.

Didn't the olives get all mushy and stuff?

Yes, I would like mine without the olive. Replace my olive with bacon please.

Brian o vretanos said...

Yes, definitely leave out the olives when you make ours, please. You could use a chipolata instead.

Super Happy Girl said...

Could you also sprinkle our bacon wrapped bacon with cumbled bacon?
Thanks.

oh for Pete's sake ya buncha recipe breakers

I have also seen water chestnuts done that way so the olive won't be mushy (take out the olive add the water chestnut)

did anyone see that bacon wrapped meat thing at the super bowl?

Olives? I just don't get it. ;-)

shove it, freaks

didn't anyone notice anything about the plate?????

Super Happy Girl said...

IT'S THE PLATE OF INFINITE STOLINESS!!

Super Happy Girl said...

But seriously Jean Knee: I don't like water chestnuts either.
I'll take mine on a non-stolen plate made out of bacon wrapped in only bacon.

Um, Jean Knee?
I don't want to be a bother but I can't eat water chesnuts either.
See, I have a problem with the way they sound when I'm chewing them.
It's a HUGE problem!
So, Can I please replace the olive and/or the water chesnut with more bacon please?

That's the prettiest bacon I've ever seen - except for your ornaments, of course. It's the prettiest REAL bacon I've ever seen, how about that?

I've never eaten a green olive, but I might if it had bacon wrapped around it.
