As you may know I have an unhealthy addiction to crafting. Constantly. Usually it confines itself to sweet cupcake and other party decorations. I really want to break the mold and try some whimsy. You know like a woman's face on a bird smoking a cigar or a skeleton break dancing. Something fun and unexpected. Feast your eyes on this masterpiece of whimsy (trumpets trump). Skeleton Head Crow
Wow, look at that jaunty little fellow. He just looks so ......stupid. So I decided to give him a crow's beak, a little extra whimsy coming up
Now he's reached even higher levels of FAIL. What to do? Help me out people I've got whimsy block. This last pic shows him headless with a toothpick sticking out. Should I add bloody entrails? How bout confetti?
Dang

Did you really go shopping for a headless crow for this project? Huh? HUH????
I don't know what was wrong with the skull/beak combo. I was thinking that was pretty creative. Maybe throw some candy corn in front of him for "food."
You know what, maybe put a pirate eye patch on the skull. Then some plaid fabric for a scarecrow effect... maybe a little Chucky doll riding on its back...
I kinda LIKED the skull on the crow body. Is that so bad? Did it really look stupid? *sigh* I have no sense of taste. Guess you better not ask me.
(Are there more Halloween-flavored whimsy projects coming up? I hope so...)
Party hat with elastic string? (on the skull)
Do you have an extra Pretty Pony head lying around? Maybe that would look good riding on the raven's body.
Um. Maaaaaybe.
By the way, I saw this in a store the other day, and for some strange reason, it made me think of you.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ok, I just needed a minute to collect myself.
I like the skull with the beak sticking out. I second the party hat...waht do I know, I am so uncrafty it's not even funny :(
What do you call him?
How do you know it is a "he"?
Perhaps he needs some mardi gras beads? Or maybe you could put some sunglasses on the skull head? Or give it a wig of long black hair? Hmmm... I've never done anything in the whimsy fashion before... maybe if you named him, that would help with the creative process!
You should avoid overdoing it. A certain amount of minimilism is a good thing. I liked the first picture best.
I wonder if I could find a miniature Chucky doll.......
I sawed the crow's head off with a serated bread knife. You can't find them headless like that.
kick ash unicorn play set. My skeleton head crow could take them both on
Yall have given me many things to ponder
I think he would have looked better if he wasn't a dollar store crow--his hideous skeleton head rocks
The first one looked good to me.
YOU SAWED THE CROW'S HEAD OFF!!
I think I'm in love with you!
I agree about the first one being good. It seems creepy but whimsical.
It doesn't take much to make Bee happy, does it? :)
Bee especially loves decapitation--reminds her of her assistant
I really liked the first one too... but if it's an alternate head you're looking for, maybe Pennymise The Clown?
*sniffle* I miss you.
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry, I just had to get over seeing it again.
How about make up for the skull a la Joker?
I want you to take my Algorithm!!
I think the crow would be prettier with an Edgar Allen Poe's head on it rather than a skull.
Edgar Allen Poe's head might be harder to find than a Chucky doll. Unless you found a picture of him and photocopied it...
Ms. Knee:
It has come to our attention that you are a proud owner of a Ped Egg [The ultimate foot file].
We are currently collecting Ped Egg [The ultimate foot file] shavings. As you surely know, these will be used to model a life size statue of the Ped Egg [The ultimate foot file] inventor Mr. Earl Voontastik III.
Please save any and all foot shavings until further notice.
Thank you!
Ped Egg [The ultimate foot file] Alliance
That reminds me of the part in the movie toy story where that kid is always trying new heads on different toys!
I am cooking up something so darn cute for your swap sign that even I don't want to part with it. I hope you love it. Waiting on a shipment from Carmelos so that I can finish your sign and get it in the mail to you. I did end up making something much smaller than expected and a completely different way than I've done before. So excited!
